Bonjour! episode 53 was broadcast in 1988 with host Josée Vachon. This episode is divided into four segments. The first segment is an interview with Claire Quintal, founder and director of the French Institute at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. She was the second woman hired as a professor at Assumption College. She is an internationally recognized scholar who served administrative leadership at Assumption as the Dean of their graduate school. She has received a number of awards from the French government in her service to the French language and Franco-American research. Her many scholarly publications are touchstones in Franco-American studies and in this segment she discusses her research. The second segment is of Raymond Lacasse from the New Hampshire Division of Elderly and Adult Services discussing changes to Medicare. The third segment is of Eugene Lemieux, the president of the Association Canado-Americaine (ACA), discussing the services and benefits of the ACA including the television show Bonjour! The episode ends with a musical performance by host and musician Josée Vachon.

The VHS copy of the episode from Bonjour! television program recordings, 1987-1999, in the Franco-American Collections of the Saint Anselm College Archives & Special Collections was digitized in March 2017.
